QUALITY AND TESTING
For any OEM whose equipment requires lead wires or wire harnesses, the following statement is sometimes painfully clear:
IF THE HARNESS DOESN’T WORK, NEITHER DOES THE END PRODUCT.
That’s why Park has invested over 60 years of manufacturing expertise to ensure that each and every harness we make works the first time, every time.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
- We make sure we understand the end use of the harness.
- We make sure the documentation and specifications provided by our customer is accurate and consistent with the application.
- As much as possible, we provide sign off prototypes and/or samples before we begin production. We use only the highest quality components in our assemblies. All of our components are supplied by industry leaders.
- We use automated tooling so we can provide low cost and consistent quality.
Our formalized work order documentation guarantees that we produce the harness the same way every time. In-process testing and inspection results are recorded and harnesses are labeled so that we can track each harness that we produce. Labeling includes the identification of our most important quality component – OUR EMPLOYEES. These dedicated assembly experts understand that their future and the future of Park is based on the quality of our customer’s products.- As a final check of the quality steps in the manufacturing process, each harness is 100% continuity tested prior to packaging. Any failure is identified with diagnostic software and the operator cannot proceed until the problem is resolved. The results-each time you use a Park harness, IT WORKS.
- Park realizes that a key quality aspect of what we do is customer service. To that end, Park will do whatever it takes to keep our customers’ lines up and running. In the event of a problem, rest assured that we would be on your site to troubleshoot or arrange for parts to get back to Park for analysis and/or resolution.
Whenever possible, Park likes to meet with our customers’ assemblers who use our products on their manufacturing floor. By seeing exactly how the harness is handled and installed, we can collaborate with the engineers to improve the design, layout, packaging, or any other aspect of the product. Our objective here is to make sure that the operator has every opportunity to be successful in the installation of our product into your final assembly.
